care and maintenance

We all want our valuables to last and that starts with care and maintenance for your lid. I like my lids to maintain their shape without creases and to look clean. Here are three simple guides.

  1. dont squish it, sit on it, trample it.

  2. wash it by hand as often as necessary

    get the lid very wet and rinse. use a mild dish soap and gently rub about a dime size soap on your palm, lather, apply lather to visor, crown, any part of the hat needed. rub gently and massage in with fingers. rinse thoroughly, grab by visor and shake out water in a up down motion. give lid and visor the shape that suits your style and let dry where it will be safe from trampling.

  3. when not wearing, store some place safe where it will maintain it’s shape.
